The Finished Product

Here are some images to show our finished product
We have made 4 fabrics with different detail and print on.

We have all collaborated and created 4 finished garments that we are all very happy with.

These garments will be worn my four beutifal models that are all so unique, just like the tops.

We are going to be adding leather belts and a beaded slip also to enhance each one differently.

We have achieved alot in the time we have had, and created very sophisticated garments with a uniques touch and feel.

The intial ideas for the images were found by researching and drawing from trees and foilege.

There are three strong images that have made the final fabrics.

The colours have been sourced from Trend swatchs and personal choice.

Textiles, Fashion and a t-shirt design competition!

(above: Charlotte and Maresa in 2007)

The Brief:
Textile and Fashion students to collaborate to create a small range of t-shirts for a specific market. This should be accompanied with a business plan, lay plan (for future manufacturing) and other relevant written or visual information.

Our Spin:

As well as talking professionally with each other, setting time plans, job roles and setting meetings, we are also able to share in our excitement for this project.
Nothing better than being able to be completely honest with co-workers - Charlotte, Suphattra and I are sharing enthusiasm but also helping each other keep the standards high and never settling for second best in our ideas or results.

Charlotte will be exploring the textiles print work, creating print samples and beadwork experiments. Suphattra and I will be doing some initial design ideas before developing them and then progressing with the technical drawings. We will work together on construction as we will be doing more draping than technical pattern cutting. The results may be more organic, so it will be a good
idea for us to all be able to contribute at this process.

So far, Suphattra has done initial research (below: Richard Sorger) Maresa has drawn up some design shapes and ideas (above left) and Charlotte has begun printing fabrics and collected beads to suit the colour and brand identity: T W I L I G H T.
